In this session, we get to know each other better. Consider this as an in-depth case-history taking session. I want to know what brought you to therapy, why now, and your hopes and dreams from our work together. We collaboratively set therapeutic goals, discuss my therapeutic approach and address any additional questions you may have.

Psychotherapy is essentially a dialogue between you and the therapist, which aims to help you understand yourself more deeply and help bring about more adaptive changes in relationships, behaviour and habits. Together, we look at patterns that may be holding you back and find new ways of responding to life.

Like any process, therapy has a beginning, middle, and end. When the therapeutic goals have been met, you are ready to graduate from therapy. Together, we reflect on the progress you’ve made, the skills you’ve built, and how you want to carry them forward. It’s a space to honour your growth and say goodbye with intention.
